Blaine Galliher

Recently, State Representative Blaine Galliher received the Principled Conservative Award from the Republican Caucus of the Alabama House of Representatives.  The resolution, HR 1037, congratulated and commended Representative Galliher for consistently upholding the fundamental tenants and values of conservative philosophy by providing invaluable leadership on the Republican Steering Committee, authorizing and carrying to enactment the Open Meeting Law, defending Alabamians Second Amendment Rights, sponsoring and co-sponsoring legislation relating to the issue of immigration reform, adopting a pro-life and pro-family stance by supporting legislation such as the Unborn Victim’s Act and the Woman’s Right to Know Act, supporting faith based values and virtues and adopting a pro-business position on multiple issues.  

Joey Stevens, Chairman of the St. Clair County Republican Party, stated “Representative Galliher is an invaluable member of the St. Clair County House delegation.  He provides consistent, fundamental conservative leadership on issues that are important to our county and state.  We are proud to call him one of our own”.

Republican Party Images 015On August 11, 2009, the St. Clair County Republican Party will host a republican gubernatorial forum.  Bradley Byrne, Tim James, Bill Johnson, Kay Ivey and Robert Bentley are scheduled to appear.  This event will be the first of its type this election cycle.  St. Clair County Republican Party Chairman Joey Stevens stated “this is a unique opportunity for the candidates to come to St. Clair County and meet our voters.  At the same time, the format of the forum will allow voters to get to know the candidates and their respective agenda for our great state.  At the end of the question and answer session, we are going to conduct a straw poll and announce the results at our next party meeting on August 20, 2009.” 

The 2009 St. Clair County Republican Party Gubernatorial Forum will be held at St. Clair County High School in Odenville.  The candidates will participate in a reception line beginning at 6:00 pm and the forum will begin promptly begin at 7:00 pm.
