Chairman Joey Stevens announces remaining 2011 schedule

The St. Clair County Republican Party announced its schedule for the remaining meetings of 2011. Chairman Joey Stevens indicated that the party would meet on June 16, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at the St. Clair County Courthouse in Pell City. According to Stevens, the remainder of the meetings are as follows:

August 18, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. (location will be announced)

October 20, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. (location will be announced)

December 15, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. (location will be announced).

“I look forward to the remainder of the year. The political climate will soon ignite as the 2012 Presidential race heats up. Election 2012 is critical for our state and country. As Republicans, we must remain true to our conservative principles and work diligently to defeat President Obama and his left-wing agenda. It is time we take our country back and return it to the people.”

St. Clair GOP October 2010 Meeting

St. Clair County Republican Party Chairman Joey Stevens announced earlier today that the October meeting of the St. Clair County Republican Party will be held on October 21, 2010 at 6pm at the St. Clair County Courthouse in Pell City.

Chairman Stevens remarked that he was “looking forward to the meeting and to discussing plans with the Executive Committee on mobilizing our voters”. “This is a historic election cycle for our country and the State of Alabama. We have the opportunity to return government to the people, for the people”, commented Chairman Stevens. “Our state has been saddled with leadership from the Democratic Party since the late 1800′s. It’s time for new leadership, new ideas and a willingness to put the people’s interest first. I think Alabamians are sick and tired of seeing their elected officials putting their own self-interest above that of their respective constituencies. We need to elect people with a moral compass, who are not afraid to stand firm on the issues that matter. As Alabamians, we have shared conservative values…faith, family and freedom. It is time to elect candidates who share that vision and are willing to return government to the people”, stated Stevens.

Representative Randy Wood

State Representative Randy Wood was in Pell City today to attend a meet and greet at the Yacht Club located on Logan Martin Lake. Wood was hosted by a group of local citizens and business people from the Pell City area. Joey Stevens, Chairman of the St. Clair County Republican Party and one of the host committte members for the event, thanked Representative Wood for his service to Pell City and St. Clair County. According to Stevens, “Randy Wood is a steady, conservative voice for our community in Montgomery. We are proud of the work he does for our community and happy to call him one of our own”. Chairman Stevens urged those in attendance to remain focused on the November election and to “Fight Back, Vote Republican”.

Kay Ivey at the Pink Store

Kay Ivey, Republican nominee for Lt. Governor, visited St. Clair County last Thursday, September 23, 2010. According to St. Clair County Republican Party Chairman Joey Stevens, Ms. Ivey took time from her busy campaign schedule to visit the Pell City area. She had lunch at the Pell City Steakhouse and was greeted by a very enthusiastic crowd. Stevens said that Ms. Ivey spoke to those assembled about “putting Alabama back to work”.

Ms. Ivey was on a campaign swing through central Alabama during her recent visit. Her day also included a trip to the famous Pell City landmark the “Pink Store” and concluded with an event in Talladega County.

St. Clair County Recount Complete

St. Clair County Republican Party Chairman Joey Stevens announced earlier tonight at the regularly scheduled party meeting that the St. Clair County Republican Party had complete the requested vote recount by the Tim James Campaign. Stevens indicated that the vote count for Tim James and Robert Bentley remained the same as the vote count on the June 1st primary.The announcement by Stevens was met with applause from the crowd gathered at the St. Clair County Courthouse in Pell City.

“The process was seemless and without any real surprises”, Stevens said. Chairman Joey Stevens further remarked, “Our ability to complete the recount was the result of real team work. We partnered with Probate Judge Mike Bowling, Sheriff Terry Surles, Circuit Clerk Annette Hall and eighteen experienced poll workers. The group deserves a lot of credit. I am happy to have had the opportunity to work along side of them during the recount”. Stevens concluded, “I am hopeful that we, as a party, can move forward to the run-off on July 13th and then to the general election in the fall”.
